How Lago Lago sold out a month before it even started

A festival holiday that feels like a sunny weekend away. Lago Lago combines three days of dancing, relaxing and exploring with a strong community, surrounded by nature at the Stroombroek recreation area in the Achterhoek region. For the 2024 edition, organiser Chasing the Hihat enlisted our help to sell out the festival faster than ever before. And we succeeded. The last tickets were sold more than a month before the festival.

Our approach

Together with the Lago Lago team, we developed a campaign that wasn’t just focused on ticket sales, but primarily on strengthening the community. Using their extensive brand book and personas, we mapped out the right target audience. Throughout, we stayed true to the festival’s core values: carefreeness, connection, and discovery. We aimed to attract new visitors — but only those who truly fit the spirit of Lago Lago.

The focus was on Meta and TikTok, where the target audience feels most at home. We used data from previous ticket buyers, followers, and website visitors to build strong lookalike audiences. From there, we continuously optimised based on campaign performance.

The right tone and timing
No pushy ads, but content that tapped into the longing for summer freedom. Think mood videos of people dancing at sunset, cocktails by the water, and that feeling of coming home to a place where everyone can be themselves. By cleverly timing content around weather conditions and line-up announcements, we stayed both relevant and present.



By striking the right balance between branding and conversion, we exceeded the sales targets by a wide margin. Tickets sold out more than a month in advance. In addition, the campaigns delivered a ROAS of 5.65 and drove consistent community growth. With a client satisfaction score of 5 out of 5, we’re looking forward to continuing the partnership for Lago Lago 2025.
